JOB SUMMARY:
To provide executive assistance to the President in carrying out the missions of
the institution. Serves as a liaison between the President and the
institution-at-large, and acts as a patient advocate. Manages the budget and
daily operations of the President’s Office by providing leadership and guidance
to staff members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Serves as the liaison and interface between
the President and the institution-at-large, its committees, and the
medical/research staff.

Acts as a patient advocate and ensures
patients have access to appropriate information and resources. Ensures
patient complaints are resolved in a timely, patient, and friendly manner,
while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Manages the daily operations of the
President’s Office by providing leadership, guidance, and coaching to the
staff.

Manages the budget for the President’s
Office.

Serves as the liaison with areas that report
directly to the President to enhance communication and daily operations.

Responsible for executing, with minimal
direction, administrative duties at the highest level.

Exercises considerable discretion and
judgment.

Plans, organizes, and coordinates
administrative duties.

Assists top executive in establishing and
attaining goals and objectives.

Coordinates and interacts with other
executives and administrators or their associates, within institutional,
system, or governmental settings.

Prepares or directs preparation of reports,
graphs, and charts.

Responds to or initiates correspondence of a
confidential or technical nature.

Prepares meeting agendas.

Interviews and selects candidates for
support staff positions within the department.

Adheres to internal controls and reporting
structure.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree or equivalent, and seven
years of related experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:
Standard office environments.
