Job Summary:
To provide clerical skills with typing as an essential duty.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Types correspondence, reports, forms, and other material utilizing a typewriter, word processor, or computer software package under general supervision and direction.
- Proofreads all completed assignments for grammar, format, and structure and may compose routine office correspondence.
- May utilize spreadsheets in maintaining departmental/office records.
- Files and assists in the revision of filing systems.
- Answers telephones and may act as a receptionist.
- Sorts and distributes mail and prepares outgoing mail.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year related experience. Must pass typing test at a net rate of 40 wpm and pass spelling test with 85% accuracy.
