Job Summary:
Act as the chief and administrative official for a department or as an associate chief business and/or administrative program official in a major functional area of the institution.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Manages and maintains responsibility for the planning, development, fiscal activities and operation of business and administrative functions, including departmental or program operating policies and procedures.
- Supervises the recruitment of all staff and support personnel.
- Plans, develops, integrates and manages all business and administrative support systems.
- Prepares, justifies, and controls budgets.
- Administers grant and contract management activities.
- Manages space planning, renovation and allocation.
- Responsible for strategic and tactical planning.
- Serves as chief departmental liaison with business, hospital, and academic administration.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and four years related experience.
