Job Summary:
To coordinate and supervise the activities of an assigned
work group; to process personnel time and attendance transactions in order to
generate payrolls in a timely and accurate manner while providing professional
customer service for departmental timekeepers and managers.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Payroll Duties related to Payroll Disciplines
- Completes all task requirements of the Payroll Representative.
- Supervises Payroll Representatives as follows:
- Manages disciplinary actions
- Manages day to day workflow activities
- Performs all aspects of the PMP process and coaching required
- Coordinates all work schedule activity
- Functions as the liaison between upper management and support staff.
- Participates in establishing departmental (Payroll) policy.
- Ensures Standard Operating Procedures for work group are maintained.
- Leads process improvement projects.
- Monitors work outcomes and provide metric data for upper management.
- Assists, guides, and instructs support staff with non-routine policy
interpretations or transaction problems which require resolution.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or equivalent
experience and four years of related work experience in payroll, accounting,
and/or business.Equipment:
Standard office equipment. Working Environment:
