Job Summary:
To provide technical support in the preparation, processing, and/or closing out of routine research grants and contract proposals.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Furnishes information and guidance as to the use and content of university and grantor/contractor forms.

Provides balance of grants or contracts as requested.

Advises investigator regarding grant applications, deadlines, and projections for future research funds.

Generates various reports accurately in accordance with applicable agency and departmental procedures in order to ensure that expenditures are within the guidelines and procedures of the grant.

Prepares invoices for cost reimbursement grants and contracts in accordance with applicable agency as well as departmental procedures.

Maintains accurate files which include the monthly overhead adjusting journal vouchers and the indirect cost recovery analysis for each grant.

Ensures that each expired grant is closed out properly according to the guidelines established with the grant.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent in related field. No experience necessary.
