JOB SUMMARY:

To perform moderately complex tasks, using independent judgment, in the process of solving statistical problems through the use of information technology.

 

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

  • Investigates and researches data processing/statistical analysis assignments.

  • Prepares and runs statistical programs by following basic instructions supplied by the senior biostatistician or biostatistician for compilation, tabulation, and analysis of data and drafts simple reports.

  • Tests and corrects errors caused by incorrect programming.

  • Prepares documentation of sequence of operations and other information in outlining the programs developed.

  • Designs scan forms and conducts test scoring request by departments.

  • Handles SAS billing and works closely with users in problem resolution regarding SAS system, researches solutions and follows up with the customer, and consults users on problem prevention.

  • Trains and supervises statistical assistants.

  • Adheres to internal controls established for department.

  • Performs related duties as required. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree or equivalent in related field.  Two years of relevant experience required.

 

EQUIPMENT:

Standard office equipment.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Standard office environment.
