Job Summary:

To implement departmental business plan and operational activities in support of strategic planning to achieve institutional goals and objectives.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

  • Assists the department leadership in developing, executing and evaluating strategic and operational plans for the department to support institutional initiatives.
  • Conducts research initiatives as they pertain to institutional research and strategic planning.
  • Identifies potential new areas for gathering and analyzing data on institutional activities to further the objectives of the department.
  • Makes appropriate recommendations regarding the coordination of joint efforts among UTMB components.
  • Consults with academic leadership to ensure that their area accomplishments and outcomes are captured in a systematic and informative reporting process.
  • Implements outcome measurements to monitor the progress and status of strategic plans.
  • Adheres to internal controls established for the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education / Experience:

Master's degree or equivalent and two years of related experience.

Equipment: 

Standard office equipment.

Working Environment:

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
