Job Summary:
Responsible for producing a full range of written materials in support of the University’s fund raising operation. This includes gathering information as requested on grant applications and developing case statements for fund raising projects; preparing letters of inquiry, grant proposals and follow-up reports to donors; and writing newsletters and development brochures.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Writes proposals for private funding and the follow-up documents and reports.

Assists in the development and implementation of a major gift recognition program for donors.

Interviews faculty for proposal background.

Assists the Director in maintaining contacts with foundation and corporate foundation officers.

Drafts quarterly reports for the President.

Provides development and writing support needed to prepare UTMB’s case statement.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field and one year related experience.

Standard office equipment.
