To plan and implement
operations analysis and process improvement activities in the hospitals and
clinics and the nurse staffing office.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Develops a three year plan for operations analysis for UTMB Hospitals and
Clinics.

Prepares all cost reduction, operations improvement, business, and strategic
plans for UTMB Hospitals and Clinics.

Coordinates HCIA Comparative Efficiency and Effectiveness Analysis and Clinical
Pathway Analysis, analyzes results and formulates recommendation implementation
plan.

Coordinates UHC and MECON Benchmarking initiatives.

Assists in designing and completing a hospital and clinic-wide management
training and education plan with regards to financial management and operations
analysis techniques.

Manages and supervises the production of routine reporting and analysis
activities.

Oversees the operation of the Nurse Staffing Office.

Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to
monitor and enforce compliance.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and five years related
experience.
