JOB SUMMARY: 

To provide technical and administrative skills for the development of new programming and maintenance of existing programming or manage projects, operations and customer service related to distribute computing, specifically PC-Based Servers and Desktops. 

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS: 

POSITION EITHER

 

  • Plans, organizes and schedules all relevant programming projects and assigns tasks to programming personnel.
  • Develops and maintains equipment, cost, time and performance statistics for programming projects.
  • Establishes standards of logic diagramming, machine flow charting, and programming procedures often of complex nature.
  • Translates system analysis definitions to reports, charts and/or diagrams from which programmers can efficiently perform their tasks.

- OR - 

  • Meets with customer to define scope of project and user needs.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules and assigns activities/tasks to network personnel.
  • Establishes standards for service delivery and evaluates the quality of services provided.

- AND - 

  • Develops long-range goals and objectives.
  • Prepares and manages area budget.
  • Participates in decisions concerning personnel staffing, training, promotion, evaluation and supervision.
  • Evaluates performance and provides assistance in the development and training of the technical staff.
  • Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
  • Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and five years related experience. 

EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard office environment.
