JOB SUMMARY: 

To provide highly responsible professional skills for the design and preparation of programming systems and the supervision of programming for electronic computers.  

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS: 

• Specifies general programming design concepts for initial development of programming systems.
• Conducts research in automation techniques to improve computer system performance.
• Plans and coordinates programming projects within a particular work unit.
• Acts as a senior programming system consultant in advanced computer system technology.
• Assists and advises subordinate personnel in the solution of highly technical and complex programming problems.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and one year related experience. 

EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard office environment.
