JOB SUMMARY: 

To provide programs for the solution of problems by electronic computers.  

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS: 

• Studies problems assigned and the theoretical concepts and equations involved.
• Prepares block diagrams, flowcharts and machine instructions of key punching.
• Test runs programs.
• Corrects errors caused by incorrect programming.
• Verifies machine computed answers and prepares abstracts of problems and equations used in mathematical solutions.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

Associate’s degree or equivalent in related field and no experience required. 

EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard office environment.
