JOB SUMMARY:

Provides technical support of desktop computers, thin clients, applications, and related technology. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to requests and problems including installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading PC hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.  
  • Interact with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
  • Install, configure, and determine ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, MACs, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines. 
  • Troubleshoot trouble tickets to resolve basic to complex technical problems with desktop computing equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot and provide solution for basic to complex printer trouble calls.
  • Provide customer assistance with directory services and remote access tools. 
  • Provide expertise in hardware troubleshooting on desktop computers, laptops, MACs and thin client computers.
  • Computer imaging creation, pushing and pulling using various products.
  • May serve as mentor, provide training, or assist Desktop Support Specialists.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

 

MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs related duties as required.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree or equivalent in related field and one year customer service, or desktop user support, or related experience.

 

EQUIPMENT:

Standard office, clinical or hospital computer based equipment.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environments.
