JOB SUMMARY: 

To provide the technical expertise required to support and advance application and system software functions of the computer installation at the decision-making level.  

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS: 

• Directs the generation and maintenance of the installations of software systems.
• Conducts studies of projected enhancements in hardware and software.
• Presents recommendations to management.
• Supervises performance measurements and evaluation of the computers systems.
• Determines and directs performance improvement activities.
• Plans and supervises training of systems software personnel.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and five years related experience. 

EQUIPMENT: 

Installed computer systems. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard data processing installation environment.
