Job Summary:
To provide the technical skills required to design, modify, and maintain complex and varied data communication network configurations.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Analyzes, designs and assists in the performance of macro network connections and configurations of moderate complexity.

Consults with vendors, faculty, management and staff concerning projected enhancements to hardware and networking capabilities; and analyzes and evaluates results versus existing and new technology available.

Performs moderately complex problem determination and resolution to identify and resolve macro networking problems.

Consults and assists schools and departments with their network/communication and configuration and problem resolution.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard data processing installation environment.
Other:
