Job Summary:
To provide analysis, auditing, and planning in the
implementation and maintenance of a campus-wide program of equal opportunity and
affirmative action in compliance with state and federal laws and the Regent's
Rules and Regulations of the University of Texas Systems.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Maintains reports and logs in support of EEOC/OFCCP and
other legal records to confirm federal compliance.
- Prepares quarterly analyses to ensure that human
resources activities are being performed in compliance with all laws, rules,
and regulations.
- Assists with the preparation of the AAP annually by
providing analyses of the affirmative action data.
- Conducts internal adverse impact audits in order to
report findings and make recommendations concerning issues relevant to risk
management, compliance improvements, and corrective actions.
- Analyzes complaints by department (discrimination,
grievances, appeals) to monitor activity and trends and makes recommendations
of corrective actions needed to Director.
- Keeps abreast of all regulatory changes to ensure that
the institution’s AAP and EEO policies meet all regulatory laws and
guidelines.
- Serves as liaison to the HR Department regarding
compliance in employment and compensation practices.
- Assists in designing and facilitating diversity
training programs to the university community.
- Assists Director in preparing statements and reporting
of discrimination complaints to federal agencies.
- Adheres to internal controls established for the
department.
- Assists in the performance of special reviews at the
request of management.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must demonstrate the ability to accurately report and
analyze statistical data and have a working knowledge of federal compliance
programs and human resource management.
- Must have prior experience working with a Human
Resources information system.
- Must have PC proficiency using electronic mail,
Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software applications.
- Must also demonstrate the ability to work with a
variety of staff and administrators.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or related field and two years related experience.Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
