JOB SUMMARY:
To provide professional advisory, technical and
administrative skills, supervise the daily operations of the Records Management
team, ensure the efficient operation of the Records Center, and apply management
techniques to the creation, use, maintenance, retention, preservation, and
destruction of state records in compliance with applicable laws, rules,
regulations, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provides technical and process based expertise.

Performs record retention scheduling responsibilities, develops department
record retention schedules for approval by the Chief Records Management
Officer.

Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal customers and
serves as a principle liaison between customers and operations.

Monitors daily work activity and productivity of the records team.

Assists with operational planning, as well as organizing, staffing, and
supervising staff members.

Assists with developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to
facilitate institutional departmental record retention schedules and record
center activities.

Assists in the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal
controls with reasonable assurance that operations are effective and
efficient, assets are safeguarded, financial information is reliable, and
are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Coordinates staff development and training, including the compilation of a
variety of instructional materials for use within work group.

Develops and delivers formal and informal records management training to
individuals and groups.

Monitors and evaluates performance of staff and operations, and implements
corrective actions as necessary and appropriate.

Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree or equivalent and four years
related experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:
Standard office environments, Records Center
Warehouse, and frequent travel to customer locations.

Specific job requirements or physical location
