JOB SUMMARY:  

Plans, organizes and directs implementation of all phases of major construction projects.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Coordinates project team representatives during design and execution project phases.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the development of final contract construction documents.
  • Responsible for bidding, negotiation and implementation of all contracts required to support the assigned project.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the project budget.
  • Manages, monitors and evaluates project control including, scheduling requirements, operational impact and resources allocation.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local and UT System regulations regarding construction design and maintenance.
  • Determines the most effective and efficient project delivery methods.
  • Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls.
  • Manage and mentor team to facilitate completion of successful projects.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

 MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs related duties as required.

 REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering field or related field, or equivalent experience. Six years of project management/construction management experience.

 EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment.

  WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:

 Construction environment
