Job Summary:

This position is responsible for technical assessment, design and implementation of appropriate telecommunications voice and data network systems.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

• Consults with customer to assess telecommunication needs, requirements and constraints. Includes requests for configuration of moves/adds/changes and project management of new voice and data systems for customers.
• Provides design, specification, preparation, and pricing for communication systems within established timeframes.
• Coordinates with telecommunication vendors and other UTMB staff to ensure communication system’s installation is completed according to plan.
• Processes telecommunication orders in system.
• Provides customers with instruction in the proper use of systems and networks.
• Conducts quality assurance analysis throughout a project and upon completion of a project.
• Participates as a team member
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
• Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Associate’s degree or equivalent and two years related experience
