Job Summary:

Provides professional knowledge and expertise in the operation and support of Environmental Safety programs in compliance with regulatory agencies, national guidelines and institutional policies. (Position is subject to D.O.T regulations which include drug and alcohol testing.  Testing includes pre-employment, random, and for cause.)

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

• Responsible for knowledge of environmental rules and regulations on a local, state, and federal level.
• Performs customer service from interaction and requests
• Produces required regulatory reports
• Assists and provides support for process activities
• Performs Waste Minimization and assessments
• Develops internal reports and recommendations
• Provides support to the Waste Disposal Program
• Ensures protections of the environment
• Provides technical support to HS Program
• Meets internal and external reporting requirements.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
• Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in an environmental, natural, or applied science, or related field required or equivalent and 1 year of related experience.  Valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License required.

Equipment: 

Standard office equipment and equipment used to ensure safe environmental levels.

Working Environment:

Standard office, hospital, clinical, and/or laboratory environments
