Job Summary:Provides professional knowledge and expertise in the operation and support of Environmental Safety programs in compliance with regulatory agencies, national guidelines and institutional policies. (Position is subject to D.O.T regulations which include drug and alcohol testing. Testing includes pre-employment, random, and for cause.)
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
Required Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an environmental, natural, or applied science, or related field required or equivalent and 1 year of related experience. Valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License required.
Equipment:Standard office equipment and equipment used to ensure safe environmental levels.
Working Environment:Standard office, hospital, clinical, and/or laboratory environments
Other:Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums require the prior approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
