Job Summary:
To provide highly responsible operational and administrative direction and
support for the operation for a major functional area of the library.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Plans and coordinates library services including setting unit objectives and
priorities
- Plans workflow, develops policies and procedures
- Supervises and evaluates staff
- Oversees all vendor selection, bibliographic and cost information
- Conducts and develops training sessions for staff
- Provides services in area of specialty which may include the bindery, online
testing center, circulation, acquisition, document delivery, and reference
services
- Responsible for opening and closing the building
- Represents departmental concerns, objectives and information within the
university and with outside agencies, vendors, constituencies and the public
- Keeps abreast of changes in trends and technology in the appropriate functional
area
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:
Associate’s degree and 4 years of related specialized experience related
experience.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment. and applicable library equipment
Working Environment:
Standard library and office environments.
Other:

Any
qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums
