Job Summary:

To advise and provide consultation, training, installation, and technical assistance to computer users regarding the effective use of computer resources.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

• Performs requirements analysis procedures.
• Installs end user computing languages.
• Solves technical problems related to personal computers, local area networks, office automation systems, and end user computing languages.
• Defines project plans.
• Maintains various developmental support projects applying scientific techniques to computer and medical research problems.
• Operates scientific microcomputer devices.
• Prepares and presents specifications for microcomputer procurement and interfacing to other peripherals.
• Monitors industry activity via publications.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Associate's degree or equivalent in related field and one year related experience.

Equipment: 

Standard office equipment.

Working Environment:

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
