JOB SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for modifying application programs from detailed specifications. MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
· Researches and investigates assignments. · Prepares sequence of operations and other information in outlining the program developed. · Performs testing or modifies system design to solve basic problems. · Codes basic programs according to specifications from other levels of Applications Analysts. · Interprets detailed specifications from which programs will be written. · Assists in designing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining systems and programs. · Gathers data, prepares, and updates system documentation for existing and proposed procedures. · Prepares documentation and assists in implementation. · Participates as team member. · Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. · Performs related duties as required. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent and two years related experience. Must possess sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify to start in applications analysis or programming. EQUIPMENT: Standard computing equipment WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Standard office environments. OTHER: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
