Values in Professionalism (VIP)

The Values In Professionalism program was created to provide a course geared toward all employees on campus.  It is a highly interactive 4 hour course with the goals of:

  • Providing a structure to help us live UTMB's Core Values

  • Using You Count data in defining actions and creating results

  • Providing a list of "Basic Principles" of professionalism for all employees

  • Linking professionalism and emotional intelligence

  • Establishing personal commitment and actions for improved professional behaviors

  • Increasing employee satisfaction

This course will be offered by department as You Count data is specific to areas.  Please watch upcoming announcements for dates that the program will be available to your specific department!

Feedback from departments that have participated in VIP thus far include:

  • "Thanks so much, I feel empowered!"

  • "Don't change a thing, this is a wonderful program!"

  • "This was a fun way to share such valuable information!"

  • "The Basic Principles are wonderful!  We all need reminders of these simple yet valuable rules to live and work by!
