Recognition |
| |
A very important part of Organizational Development, Training and Recognition is celebrating the wonderful accomplishments of the many fine UTMB staff members.
Celebrations and events are held in honor of those retiring from UTMB, those who have reached milestones in their years of service to the University, those who have "gone the extra mile", those who have not used their sick leave and a large conference is held each year to celebrate our Support Staff. |

Employee Service Day |
Ceremonies are held twice per year to share the longevity of our staff members and honor those who have received at least 3 GEM cards. We honor employees with 5 years of service and continue to honor them for each 5 year increment in their commitment to UTMB. Breakfast is served to honorees by UTMB Executives and an afternoon celebration is shared with those being honored, friends, family and colleagues. Inspiring videos are made featuring our dedicated and caring staff members. The ceremonies honoring these individuals pack Levin Hall Auditorium as we long to hear the beautiful, countless stories of what our fine staff are accomplishing. Whether it is a nurse swimming (yes, SWIMMING!) to work, staff delivering a baby outside in the circular drive, faculty dedicating their lives to their students, staff being compassionate with their patients and each other, a group donating fans to those with no air conditioning, or the person who always has a smile and "goes the extra mile"-these videos and celebrations are sure to tug at the heartstrings of those in the audience. It's no surprise that tears, laughter and fun abound at these events. Employee Service Day Ceremonies show the heart and joy of UTMB family. |
