Employee Relations is about helping all employees with their work relationships. We focus on promoting positive working environments. In addition, we are responsible for employment related policies and procedures for UTMB. The staff also maintains institutional employee related initiatives, such as the grievance and appeal processes and the coordination of mediation services.

 

Employee Leave Management

Employee Leave Management (ELM) is management of employee use of all extended leaves. It also encompasses administration of the Sick Leave Pool.

Compliance

Employee Relations Compliance Team is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and institutional policies and procedures. We provide counseling, facilitation of the mediation, grievance and appeals processes as well as investigating allegations of illegal discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment.
