A Celebration of Service and Commitment UTMB held its annual Employee Service Day celebration on Thursday, June 24. Recognition of GEM Card RecipientsUTMB’s online GEM program provides a quick and easy way to acknowledge others for their extraordinary service, caring and compassion. This year, 460 employees were repeatedly recognized for going the extra mile in their daily activities. Click here to view the GEM honorees. 2021 Leone Award for Administrative ExcellenceJennifer Higgs, nurse manager for LCC Nursing Administration, was selected the recipient of the 2021 Nicholas and Katherine Leone Award for Administrative Excellence. The Leone Award is presented annually to the manager or supervisor who displays the highest level of professional integrity and best exhibits the standards of conduct outlined in UTMB’s core values and Professionalism Charter.
