Certified Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program

UTMB is accepting applications for our CNA Apprenticeship Program! The program's next cohort begins Tuesday, Jan. 21, and it offers:

  • Full-time employment: Begin as a Hospital Aide with benefits
  • Minimum starting wage: Earn $15/hour, with progressive increases during the first year
  • Comprehensive training: Receive paid on-the-job learning and classroom instruction approved by Texas Health and Human Services
  • Ongoing mentorship: Learn from clinical instructors and experienced Patient Care Technicians dedicated to your success
  • Career growth: Advance to Patient Care Technician and obtain support to register for the CNA exam upon successful completion of the training

Program participants must be age 18 or older; have a high school diploma or GED; and be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
